The Undisputed Winner

The border dispute which had taken place more than 10 centuries became excruciatingly heated up since Preah Vihear was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site on July 7, 2008 , and that means the Cambodian side become the rightful owner of the land the temple located on.

It is only recently that i became so annoyed with our persistent neighbour and their hilarious political strategy to sway the attention of their citizen from the local instability. I strongly support the sentences quoted from our Prime Minister ,'' We cannot have joint ownership over our separate land. Thailand does not allow the registration of the joint ownership of Bangkok with Cambodia''.

Conflict aside, I somehow believe there is much more to this issue than just a superficial border dispute. Nation's Pride has again come into play , and inculcate a sense of nationalism and patriotism in the local people. I think this is one of the rare occasions which we are fighting the winning battle.

So What Is So Special about this temple, after all ?

Preah Vihear has the most spectacular setting of all the temples built during the six-centuries-long Khmer Empire . As a key edifice of the empire's spiritual life, it was supported and modified by successive kings and so bears elements of several architectural styles. Preah Vihear is unusual among Khmer temples in being constructed along a long north-south axis, rather than having the conventional rectangular plan with orientation toward the east. The fact that it was built by King Suryavarman I and Suryavarman II makes the temple even more revered and sacred. Lengendary Kings were rare and their legends still live on until these days.

song of the week

Somehow i got in love with this song after 10-day stay in singapore..haha..I think the main reason is that my senior kept playing again and again in the morning, afternoon, and at night. LOL...

Lyrics:

Broken hearts and last goodbyes, restless nights
But lullabies helps to make this pain go away
I realize I let you down
Told you that I'd be around
I'm building up the strength just to say

I'm Sorry
For breaking all the promises that I wasn't around to keep
It's on me,
This time is the last time I will ever beg you to stay
But you're already on your way

Filled with sorrow, filled with pain
Knowing that I am to blame
For leaving your heart out in the rain
And I know you're gonna walk away
And leave me with the price to pay
Before you go I wanted to say that I'm

I'm Sorry
For breaking all the promises that I wasn't around to keep
It's on me,
This time is the last time I will ever beg you to stay
But you're already on your way

Can't make it alive on my own
But if you have to go,
Then please girl, just leave me alone
'Cause I don't want to see
You and me going our separate ways
I'm begging you to stay
If it isn't too late

I'm Sorry
For breaking all the promises that I wasn't around to keep
It's on me,
This time is the last time I will ever beg you to stay
But you're already on your way

But your already on your way.

When there is no school...

It has been a while when i last updated my blog. There seemed to be so many things at a time,so many so that i had been anchored down. Right, going to school has never been more enjoyable than now. Haha...i kind of miss it. Life after A-level is stress-free and no more workload to keep me busy at all. At some point, i thought i have become too free to start working again when university starts.

Talking about university, i have been contemplating for weeks about what course to study. There are 3 courses for me choose from.

- Bachelor of Project and Facility Management (Honour)
- Bachelor of Science ( Economics )
- Bachelor of Civil Engineering

After spending 4 years in Singapore, my brains keep telling me to just go the easy road ,which means doing Econs or PFM. But my conscience keeps scolding me..i have a childhood dream of becoming an Engineering. But that dream seems to recede bit by bit once i started my JC. Haha...Maybe it comes back now. I have been reading alot of books about SUCCESS lately..and most of the people like Donald Trump, Warren Buffet, Benjamin Graham...all said that hard work are very rewarding at the end. That's quite true. No success has ever gotten without confronting difficulty.

I went to school today to appeal for my physics grade, and just i handed the 171.20$ to the office lady there, she told me that no one ever succeeded in appealing before ! Well said.. !!! Haha.. I shall just trust Adidas that Impossible Is Nothing. But i like being optimistic..so i'll put positive word in front : Everything is Possible !

Thanks God for helping me during the ups and downs of my JC life.
